Rev. Micah C. T. Sims, Sr. - Servant Leader


is a fifth generation preacher in a family who has served the kingdom of God across the world. He has developed into a preacher, teacher, leader and activist who seeks to empower the lives of people. Rev.Sims was the former District Coordinator (1993-1996) for the Young Adult Network, leading young adults living in the northeastern United States and Bermuda in spiritual, economic and community development. He has spoken as guest preacher and workshop facilitator in churches and spiritual conferences across the world, reaching thousands over his 20+ years in ministry. Sunday and weeknight preaching visits to churches such as Greater Allen Cathedral, Empowerment Temple AME Church Baltimore, Bright Hope Baptist Church Philadelphia, New Birth Missionary Baptist Atlanta, First Baptist Church Indianapolis, Mt. Airy COGIC Philadelphia and others have helped him see the power of God working across the country and world. A signature moment within his ministerial career was the founding and serving as senior pastor of Victory Temple AME Church which grew to over 500 members in seven years. Presently, Micah serves as servant leader pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Harrisburg, PA leading this historic congregation in the growth of membership, discipleship, economic development and civic engagement. 


Rev. Micah Sims uses his gifts, talents and resources outside of the church. He has served in several capacities which have helped develop communities, citizens, cities and regions. In 2012 he served as Deputy Operation Vote Director of Obama for America Campaign in PA. 


He directly oversaw initiatives and events all across the commonwealth of Pennsylvania for three distinctive demographic groups - African Americans, Women and Faith Communities. 


He is the former host and executive producer of THE MICAH SIMS SHOW, on WMCN TV Philadelphia. This thirty minute political news & lifestyle talk show featured his versatile journalistic style and showcased top stories and newsmakers from the area and across the country. Prior to his own show, Micah was featured on other media outlets such as NBC Philadelphia network with appearances on the NBC10 news @ 7pm and the 10!Show serving as the entertainment ambassador for NBC Philadelphia. Micah Sims has also appeared on TBN - Trinity Broadcasting Network, hosting for Praise The Lord segments in Philadelphia, New York & Atlanta studio for regional, national and international segments. His media exposure has benefited from appearances on national cable and radio networks such as CNN, MSNBC, HLN, PBS, NPR plus local major media markets discussing politics, current affairs and breaking news stories from across the world. 


He formerly served as host and executive producer of the political and current affairs syndicated radio talk show ‘Micah Sims LIVE’ formerly titled ‘A New Day With Micah Sims’. The rising success of his talk show generated many requests and appearances on internet radio as well as talk show radio programs in Los Angeles, Charlotte, Detroit, Baltimore and Washington D.C.



Numerous organizations & entities have reach out to this emerging media personality to participate in public and private events. Micah was honored in the summer of 2011 to serve as host during two major events held at Penn’s Landing Plaza in Philadelphia - Welcome America Celebration & Global Fusion Festival 2011, each event estimated over 10,000 attendees. 


Several organization, businesses and groups have secured advice and assistance from Micah Sims to expand and enhance their respective activity. As a result he actively sits on several boards and advisory councils. Presently Micah has joined forces as city clergy leader, with Dr. Jamal Bryant & Dr. Ben Chavis with the Occupy The Dream movement, which launched on 1.16.12 with events across the country. He serves as northeast regional coordinator and a national board member of Occupy The Dream. And he is a national board member for the EMPOWERMENT MOVEMENT which is a group of denominations and mega-churches seeking to bring empowerment through voting and social actions both politically and socially. During the month of March Rev. Sims took a stand and shared his voice during the senseless killing of 17yr. old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fl. Rev. Sims appeared on the cover of the Philadelphia Inquirer and pages of the Daily News as he joined others across the country with Hoodies In The Pulpit Sunday. His leadership was shown as one of the organizers of four events gathering close to 10,000 people seeking justice in the Trayvon Martin case as well as encouraging ways to diminish violence in Philadelphia communities. In August Rev. Sims organized a coalition in Harrisburg which participated as one of the cities in the National Action Network vigils across America calling for Justice for Trayvon. 


However with all those media, civic & political pursuits, ministry is the heart of living for Micah Sims as an ordained minister. Micah has studied at Villanova University, Center for Urban Theological Studies – Geneva College & Westminster Seminary and currently working on a Masters in Divinity at Lancaster Theological Seminary in PA. 


He is married to Rev. Tameaka D. Reid Sims, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, who serves as executive minister of Bethel A.M.E. This couple enjoys sharing in love, life and ministry. They parent five awesome young people collectively - Micah II, Jeremiah, Reiley (the only girl), Christopher & Joshua. Micah is available for commentary on politics, entertainment, religion, automotive industry, African American culture and young adult social activities. 





Rev. Tameaka Reid Sims - Executive Minister


Rev. Tameaka Reid Sims, is recognized as a vibrant, powerful and anointed preacher, teacher and role model with a gift for affecting worshippers of all ages.  She is impacting many lives as she proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Her life is dedicated to serving the Lord through many facets of ministry.


Rev. Reid Sims was ordained in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 2004, under the tutelage of her father, Rev. Wesley I. Reid, Pastor of Lee Memorial A.M.E. Church. Rev. Reid Sims served as the Administrative Pastor and the Executive Coordinator for the Social Service Corporation, where she has implemented several community programs.  In addition, she diligently and lovingly served as the Coordinator of the Lee Memorial Women's Ministry Department, where she founded The Women’s Circle Support Ministry, and the Debutante Cotillion Gala. 


In January 2010 Rev. Reid Sims transitioned and became the founding pastor of United Fellowship A.M.E. Church, which was planted in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.  It was a labor of love, and many lives were transformed through a weekly homeless feeding ministry, active women’s ministry, bible study, and worship services. 

In addition to pastoring, Rev. Reid is being sought to plant Women’s Circle Ministries in congregations throughout the United States. She is assisting churches desiring to enrich the life of their Women’s Ministry Department.  She has also fulfilled her passion as a published contributing author and radio host.


Rev. Tameaka earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Art History from Wilberforce University, and received a Master of Science Degree in Urban Development from Cleveland State University, and is presently enrolled at Ashland Theological Seminary. She is a Licensed Funeral Director in the state of Ohio, and is a passionate advocate and national presenter for the National Campaign to reduce S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant Syndrome).  She is a Board Member for the Hitchcock Center for Women, and an active member of the National Urban League of Greater Cleveland.


In June of 2013, Rev. Tameaka married the love of her life, best friend, and partner in ministry, Rev. Micah C.T. Sims, Sr. who serves as pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Harrisburg, PA.  This    dynamic ministry duo works diligently focusing this outstanding congregation on the areas of worship, evangelism, spiritual growth, civic engagement and economic development. They parent five awesome young people collectively - Micah II, Jeremiah, Reiley (the only girl), Christopher & Joshua.
